The structure of those weapons is really hard to read. The one on the left looks like a squiggle or something. You should practice your understanding of form to better represent things like that: a little rendering would go a long way.
Also do some anatomy studies of these creatures without costumes and hair to finally nail down how they look, because they vary wildly from one sketch to the next. Especially their faces (sometimes they have a snout, other times they don't?), and their hair/mane always obscures the rest.
